Breeder Database

Ever wonder where pet store and online puppies come from? Many are bred in facilities inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and state agencies. These inspection reports are posted online (USDA, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Nebraska, and New York), but they're locked in PDFs and not easily accessible.

Pawthenticity brings those records together in one place. We turn inspection reports, licensing records, and other public documents into easy-to-read breeder profiles. This allows anyone to quickly and easily review kennel size, inspection history, and violations. Our goal is simple: an easy, transparent, and up-to-date resource for the dog community. 🐾

Last updated Sep 26, 2026: Our database now includes 2,200+ USDA breeders and breeders from the following state agencies: 1,000+ Pennsylvania, 400+ Ohio, 140+ Nebraska, 100+ Iowa, and 100+ New York. We are up-to-date with free public inspection reports. The next step? State inspections that are NOT posted freely online. This involves Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests from Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and more. Please consider donating to cover the FOIA fees to expand our coverage.
